David has spent most of his life on the North Shore. While born in England he came to Canada at the ripe age of two and moved into a “post and beam” special in Eagle Harbour. He moved to Kitsilano in his younger years but as a committed North Shore resident he came back to and launched Hughes Brothers
Construction.
David’s creative edge allowed him time at Emily Carr College and a long and still standing career as a bass player and founding member of She Stole My Beer. While the music was fun, David’s creative instinct continued to lead him towards building and design. Over the years David has been involved in many projects and has maintained great relationships with his clientele. He has the ability to envision what a client is looking for and facilitate that vision.
Outside of work David and wife have two children, although now adults. David is forever active and fully involves himself in whatever he does. Latest passion…teaching himself to play drums and slide guitar. He continues to play with his band(s) when possible which sometimes includes his offspring. He can cook up a storm and keep you laughing at any given time!
